About this piece:

A dramatic and inspiring background sky and a garland of foreground wild flowers sandwich the Tour de Yorkshire riders on Stage 2 of the 2018 event, which starts at Barnsley Town Hall and, 149km later, ends at Ilkley, home to one of the largest cycling clubs in the country.

Yorkshire Heritage, one of a set of paintings by the Tour’s official artist, Lucy Pittaway, represents stage 2 with Conisbrough Castle, Kippax, Emley Moor, Harewood House, Ilkley and penultimate climb of the day up the ‘Côte de Cow and Calf’ to the famous rocks overlooking the former spa town.

Lucy’s artwork at the Artmarket Gallery is printed on archival quality 315gsm fine art paper using industry standard light-fast inks. Each print is numbered and personally signed by the artist and carries the official art work for the Tour de Yorkshire 2018 embossed stamp.
