About the artist:

From designer trainers to mannequins, David O’Brien can create anything with his intricate talent for mosaic sculptures. After visiting Barcelona’s famous park, Park Guell, in the 1990’s O’Brien sourced inspiration from Antonio Gaudi’s bright and glistening architecture and thereby his passion for mosaic art began.

Born in Liverpool, David O’Brien went to school at St Margaret’s in Aigburth. From being young, football was his passion. Ever since his early years, O’Brien captained the school football team and has played against players such as Steve McManaman and Robbie Fowler.
