Agnetha Sjögren

Swedish-born, but now living in London, artist Agnetha Sjögren has a growing reputation for her unique dog sculptures which are sought after worldwide.

Playful and sculptural, her exquisitely hand-crafted one-of-a-kind sculptures and limited edition prints have been seen in high-end magazines including Vogue, Elle and Design Week, have been shortlisted for the prestigious Royal Academy of Arts Summer Show, and exhibited at venues as varied as the  Orange County Center for Contemporary Art (OCCCA) in Los Angeles, luxe fashion store Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, Qingdao Sculpture Museum in China and the London Underground.

Her dogs can be found in private collections around the globe – actors Angelina Jolie and Jude Law are among her collectors. They have been featured in fashion shows in New York and Moscow and were on the Aesthetica Wish List 2011 alongside pieces by Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton and Elin Høyland.

Agnetha has a multi-disciplinary background, having been a successful fashion designer in Stockholm, a prop and interior designer in London, and founder of the cutting-edge design agency DO Original ltd.

Her varied career means she successfully melds art and design, making quality and sustainability the focus of her creative thinking. Her inspiration comes from observing the relationship between urban life and nature, and from her favourite artists, including Giacometti, Grayson Perry, Jeff Koons and Andy Warhol.??Each unique handmade dog – part Labrador, part Dalmatian, part cartoon – is authenticated with its personalised name tag, collar and story contained within a signed ‘mini passport’. Limited edition prints of 25 are also available of some of the dog sculptures.
