Paul Horton - Love and Hope - The Museum Portfolio
This collection of limited edition giclee prints are taken from images produced for "Love and Hope - The Museum Collection" which has been two years in production but really represents almost 40 years of painting and exhibiting from contemporary artist Paul Horton. He has tried to express much of the meaning and narrative, not just through the central characters and themes, but hopefully, in a way that allows people to discover the underlying layers of symbolism that permeates through his work. The exhibition is a prestigious one man exhibition, held at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery in the Autumn of 2013. Paul's work has drawn comparisons with L.S.Lowry, Degas and Marc Chagall, but his style is instantly identifiable, both in presentation and in subject, there are clear and constant truths that belong only to him and his audience. That is the beauty of Paul Horton's world; despite being intrinsically personal it can be the viewers world too - whatever they conceive that to be.
